Pair of Exhibition Quality Cabinets

Photos

Description

A superb pair of credenzas / cabinets which could well have been created for the 1851 Great Exhibition in London. They are made of amboyna Wood veneers on hardwood and with ebony inlay. The cabinets are decorated with Wedgewood style plaques surrounded with brass surrounds.

As can be seen, the cabinets have a glazed centre door with shelves behind, lined in puce coloured velvet, and a solid door to each side with marquetry inlay. Each cabinet stands on 6 short feet with brass decoration and supporting turned pillars, also decorated with ebony and brass.

These credenzas are quite spectacular and are of extraordinary quality. Anyone wishing to view them will be most welcome. Please phone for an appointment. Each cabinet is 182 cm wide x 110 cm high x 46 cm deep.
