Dating c. 1920/30, this is a very special piece, tiny measuring c. 1.3/8"inch (3.6cm) dia. There is a small link to the top which would have enabled safe carrying to a chatelaine or necklace chain, the top is exquisite with beautiful enamelling using a cloisonne technique and depicting a stork, the golden/gilt case is exquisite with high levels of detail, this is clearly a top quality piece, all clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a tiny bevelled mirror with a small powder puff. Absolutely stunning all round! There is a small nibble to the top right hand corner near the hinge, in my view this does not detract at all from the beauty of this rare piece, but I mention for accuracy and have taken a supersized picture for details.
