Gorgeous! - This is a fabulous Art Deco example of the wonderful butterfly jewellery made by Thomas L. Mott of England - this is a gorgeous piece a beautiful wing fabulously set to a solid silver round shaped glass front brooch, appropriately marked for TLM Sterling to the rear - measuring c. 1" inch diameter (2.4cm) - a period c catch is present - Depicting an idylic paradise beach, with carefully reverse painted palm trees on the beach, with a ship sailing on the sea - a delicate fine example - superb condition to the wing, this is an adorable piece and it will delight the most discerning of collectors.

Thomas Mott (TLM) exhibited his beautiful reversepainted butterfly wing jewellery at the British Empire Exhibition of 1924. His company was the largest producer of butterfly wing jewelry in the 1920"s/1930"s.
