This is a beautiful vintage powder compact - tiny it measures c. 1.5" (c.3.9cm) it is set to a brass case which has been enamelled in black, to the top an elephant's head in relief is present with this trunk pointing to the left. Dating c. 1920, the clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a clean interior with the original powder signed powder godette and signed stitched puff - the mirror is set to the top and is still nice and clear - It is marked Eastern Foam Compact Powder - there are a couple of teeny weeny age pings, which in my opinion do not detract and indeed add to this little sweeties integrity
