Beautiful soft leather purse with silver mounted fittings - fully hallmarked for London 1916 Makers mark WAE for William Amaziah Ellwick, respected silversmith of the period - this is a fine piece - at 96 years old, it is in absolutely amazing condition - I doubt it has seen the light of day for many years, it is clean, no rips tears and there is even a small piece of card to the rear - each silver fitting is hallmarked. Measuring c. 5.5" inch wide, x 3.5" inch deep, it opens to reveal four pouches internally with a central coin pouch and a front card slip in addition, there is also a small handle to the rear for placing one's hand through - just wonderful and in the nicest of antique condition - this little beauty is a real find and sure to make the most fabulous vintage gift for that special person that has just about everything!.
