Description

A rare Hanhart German Luftwaffe pilots wristwatch. A black dial with raised lume Arabic numerals, surrounded by 5 minute markers to the outer. A constant seconds dial at 9 o'clock and a 30 minute chronograph register to 3 o'clock. A large nickel plated case with steel case back marked 'Boden Edelstahl'. The case back inscribed 'Wassergeschutzt Stossfest' which roughly translates as 'water protected, shockproof'. An excellent quality Hanhart caliber 41 manual wind mechanism. Circa 1940.
