Description

Fine looking silver plated pitcher or jug for holding and dispensing ice / chilled water. Made in New York state, USA around 1850 - 60. The maker is indistinct- there are some impressed letters underside but are part worn.
The engraving is of very good quality and the two 'masks' are interesting being in the Egyptian revival taste.
There is some plating wear especially around the finial and handle, but the other surfaces seem good. We have not cleaned the plated surfaces as we know some prefer the natural ageing look.
Size 12 3/4" high
10 1/4" overall width.
