Very large Napoleon III 19th Century mirror

Description

Impressive very large French mirror with its original thick plate glass (some silvering missing)in wood and gesso frame. Originally was gilded, this mirror has been removed from a grand town house in the city of Rouen, Normandy. Made around 1860 to 1870, with some minor repairs to frame. The back boards are original with some indistinct text on paper labels. The frame and decoration have been painted over in recent times.
