Description

Neat pair of Victorian fire dogs designed by Dr Christopher Dresser in the Aesthetic taste circa 1880. Made in brass, showing some age and wear and not over cleaned. The feet are firm with no movement.
One has impressed '13' underside. Possibly made by the Birmingham firm of Benham & Froud.
Height 16cm, width 19cm.
