An original late 18th.C. Sheraton mahogany and inlaid tantalus in the guise of a knife/cutlery box The flame mahogany sloping lid with ebony and boxwood chevron inlay. The lid opens to reveal an ebony and boxwood inlaid star and the base retains the original fittings to accommodate 4 decanters.The serpentine shaped front with further chevron inlay and original brass lock and keys. Condition- good with 1or 2 bumps and bruises associated with age and use. Original patina, cleaned and waxed. Sizes- Height...11.75''...30cm. Depth...11''...28cm. Width...8.5''...21.5cm.
