Description

A superb quality Maple & Co of London Edwardian mahogany and inlaid substantial bookcase. The rectangular top having a shaped and inlaid up-stand with moulded top. Below are 3 useful drawers all having satinwood banding between boxwood and ebony lines and retaining the original brass handles. The frieze with alternate mahogany and satinwood inlay and leading to the 3 doors all having conforming inlay and wonderful astragal glazing bars. The interiors all have 3 adjustable mahogany shelves with 2 lines of boxwood stringing (only 2 shelves used in picts). The whole raised on an outline inlaid frieze with spayed bracket feet.
