Large pair of 19th.C. Carolean style carved oak throne armchairs. The shaped high backs having quality carved decoration. The turned supports joining the open arms which have scroll ends and acanthus carving. The stuff over seats retaining the original upholstery with brass studded detail. The turned and gadrooned legs joined by “X” shaped stretchers and terminating in turned bun feet. Condition- Very good, the upholstery is old and shows signs of use.
