Description

A large and impressive George III Sheraton influenced mahogany and satinwood inlaid sideboard. The back retaining the very good cast brass 4 pillar gallery with Greek key patterned spacers. The triple bow fronted top outlined with wide satinwood cross banding between boxwood and ebony lines with circular flowerhead inlays above the unusual reeded stiles. The front having further satinwood banding and boxwood outline inlay with brass lions head ring handles and oak linings. The left hand bow fronted pedestal with 4 graduated and cock beaded drawers the bottom being a double drawer. The large bow fronted centre drawer having straight fronted lower drawer which has satinwood inlaid fans to the corners. The righthand pedestal with 4 faux drawers which are 2 useful cupboards. The whole standing on 8 turned short legs with brass casters. In very good untouched condition with a few very faint surface scratches associated with age and use. Circa 1800.
