Description

A good quality early Victorian figured mahogany four-door chiffonier or sideboard. Of inverted breakfront form, the rectangular shaped top having a cross grain edge above one long and two short bow fronted frieze drawers. The flame mahogany end doors having good sarcophagus shaped panels with carved scroll crests, the right hand having a cellarette draw and shelf interior the left hand with shelf interior. The centre doors open to a further shelved interior and the whole stands on a plinth base. The flame mahogany upstand having a cross grain moulded edge and topped with a good quality carved crest.
