Description

A fine mid-19th century French cherrywood farmhouse kitchen table of particularly good form and proportions. The top is constructed from wide, well-figured cherrywood boards with cleated ends, offering strength, stability and an attractive surface with warm, well-developed colour.

The table stands on elegant tapered legs and retains a useful pull-out additional slide at one end, complete with a fold-down supporting leg, allowing for extra seating while remaining stable in use. At the opposite end is a false drawer, the result of the leg height having been discreetly increased to make the table more practical for modern kitchen and dining use.

A strong, honest country farmhouse table with pleasingly deep dimensions, good colour throughout and excellent everyday usability.
