Description

Hutton-Clarke Antiques is pleased to offer this Georgian lowboy, exceptionally rare to find in solid yew wood. Standing gracefully on cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, it displays a beautifully shaped apron and a lovely honey-coloured, silky patina developed over centuries. The top is crossbanded, and the drawers retain their original linings with old replacement brass “kidney” handles. A fine and very original early 18th-century piece with excellent colour, figure and charm throughout.
Height 78 cm, width 74 cm, depth 43 cm
