For sale by Hutton-Clarke Antiques is this charming 19th century Irish slipware bowl, attributed to the Coalisland potteries in County Tyrone. Handmade in red earthenware with a rich treacle-brown glaze, it features simple yet striking yellow slip decoration characteristic of rural Irish folk pottery of the period. The interior is boldly decorated with radiating trails of slip, giving it a lively and spontaneous feel. A fine example of vernacular Irish ceramics, showing the warmth and individuality of country-made pottery.
