A late Victorian, oak, stationery / correspondence box.
The box is in good condition, some marks as would be expected, but nothing too drastic. The interior is divided into 7 sections, for stationery / correspondence, etc.
It is in sound condition, with tight dovetail joints, good hinges, and working lock and key, the key is a later replacement and sits a little loose in the lock, but still works well.
The box measures approx 9 3/4 inches (25 cm) wide, 5 inches (12.5 cm) deep, 5 inches (12.5 cm) high at the front, 6 inches (15 cm) high at the back.
