A Handsome Early 18th Century Oak Dresser Base.
Pegged construction. All as it should be.
With 2 plank top.Having 2 dummy drawers and one central working drawer.
Underneath the 2 dummy drawers to left and right are 2
cupboard doors, the central panel is fixed. The whole is a
wonderful original rich colour. The top is particularly a good
colour showing all the patination of over 280 years.
The two ends consist of two panels. The bracket plinth
has been replaced but many years ago. One central shelf
also replaced. The top has two slots for a rack to stand in.. We have the rack which fits and is certainly of the same age, but felt it isn't original to the base.... We can supply photos if required and certainly include it, if required.
