Description

A very attractive provincial 18th Century George III period oak chest of drawers of lovely proportions at 85cm high, this piece is perfect for the cottage home or low-ceilinged room.

The chest has two plank top with two short over three graduating long drawers, all above a plinth base. The oak has a wonderfully rich colour throughout which glows in the light.

The piece is in a very good condition throughout with some signs of wear commensurate with age, most notably a small historic crack to the wood at back right corner of the top (which remains strong and stable), and the lower drawer lock is absent.

A charming provincial Georgian piece.
