Description

A very attractive 19th century mahogany pedestal desk stamped 'Newson & Co, London' with a Victoria Regina crest to every drawer lock.

The black leather inlaid rectangular top sits above two pedestals with original castors to the base of each pedestal. The desk has nine drawers in total, each with the original lock and handle. The rear and sides of the desk are attractively panelled.

The desk shows signs of wear commensurate with age to the extremities, most notably to the rear and pedestal corners, and the leather top shows signs of historic use. The desk remains in a very good attractive condition overall.

A statement desk of lovely proportions with a wonderful patina throughout and clear London maker stamps.
