Description

This is 'Junius, Stat Nominis Umbra' (aka. Letter of Junius'), published by Alex. Hamilton in 1792 and a first edition thus.

Octavo. Fully bound in tree calf leather with ornate gilt decoration to the spine and each board edge. There is cracking to the leather at both volumes' spine joints but the boards remain attached. There is some shelf wear to the spine and board extremities with some very light scuffing to the boards. Overall, the binding remains in a good condition.

Marbled endpapers. Bookplate of 'Armytage' to the front pastedown of both volumes. There is some browning to the title page but otherwise all pages are clean and bright and in a very good condition, free from inscription and damage.

A very attractive set.
