Description

This is a Pair of Hester Bateman Silver Sugar Tongs with Bright Cut decoration and Acorn ends to the cups. The bow has the initials M.C.

Made by Female Silversmith Hester Bateman (marked) and with the Lion Passant Silver Mark.

The Sugar Tongs weigh 31.6g and measure 143mm in length x 35mm width in the centre x 43mm width at centre of cups.

The Sugar Tongs are in good condition with a slight ripple to the centre of the blades probably due to use over hundreds of years. More images are available.
