Description

This is a stunning George III Silver Cream Jug with lovely repousse decoration in the Neo- Classical style of Robert Adam swags, trailing husk garlands, and tied ribbons.

Believed to be made by Silversmith SM (Samuel Meriton II ? rubbed please see images) and hallmarked in the London Assay Office in 1775.

The cream jug weighs 114g and measures 144mm to top of the handle x 126mm to the top of the spout x 55mm diameter base x 57mm diameter body.

The cream jug is in good condition with no damage.
