Description

This is an unusual White Metal (believed to be unmarked silver) Letter Opener Decorated with Enamel Butterflies and Signed Barboteaux.

Barboteaux was a French Jeweller & Engraver, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1913. In 1896 Barboteaux joined the workshop of René Lalique as a jewellery engraver.

The letter opener weighs 28g and measures 117mm x 18mm.

The letter opener is in good condition with some small losses to the enamel please see images.
