Description

This is an unusual George III Silver Patch Box in the form of a book, with bright cut decoration.

Made by Silversmith John Thornton and Hallmarked in the Birmingham Assay Office in 1800.

The patch box weighs 9.3g and measures 35mm x 20mm x 8mm.

The patch box is in good condition with no damage despite being 218 years old this year.
