This is a 19th Century William IV antique solid mahogany extending dining table with two large original solid mahogany leaves. The top has a double moulded edge and pull out mechanism. It stands on four shaped octagonal legs with original brass castorsHistory of this table:-
It was owned by robert lowe 1811-1892, he was chancellor of the exchequer 1865-1873 under gladstone and home secretary 1873-1874,he was appointed 1st viscount sherbrooke in 1880
