A charming Large 19Th Century Bronze figure of a boy with song birds at his feet and hands, beautifully modeled and with a lovely warm patina. 890mm high and 240mm diameter. After Auguste Moreau (1834 – 1917). French. Circa 1860.
Auguste Moreau was an important French sculptor, who was active in the late 19th and early 20th Century in France. Auguste was born into a prestigious family of sculptors, which included Jean-Baptiste, Hippolyte and Mathurin Moreau.
