A delightful post war pointilliste painting showing the Place de la Concorde in Paris by Lucien Roubinet. Painted in oil on to a wooden panel and signed bottom left. Pointillism is a branch of impressionism using a technique of painting with small distinct coloured dots.

Lucien Maxime Roubinet was born in Paris in 1926. He is best known for his pointilliste style paintings of cityscapes executed in the 1940s and 50s. He trained at the Beaux Arts in Paris and the Academy Julian.
