Description
Portrait c1870 Woman in a Floral BonnetA highly decorative, characterful portrait of a woman resplendent in her Sunday best floral bonnet. She dates to around 1870, is unsigned and presented in a later frame.
Condition
The painting has been cleaned and restored at some stage. The original canvas has been remounted on to a replacement stretcher. There is some minor craquelure and the surface of the painting is covered in minute micro blisters which may be the result of the cleaning process. The price of this painting is a reflection of its condition issues.
