La Belle Époque Elegantes on The BeachA charming scene depicting élégantes at leisure on the beach dating to the end of the Belle Epoch period. The Belle Époque or La Belle Époque is the term often given to a period of French history, usually dated to between 1880 and the outbreak of World War I in 1914.
Unsigned, painted on a wooden panel and imprinted with a wax collector’s seal verso.

Purchased at auction in Marseille, copy invoice available to purchaser.
