Description

A fine Edwardian mahogany writing table with rising side leaves and inset writing surface above a single frieze drawer fitted with original brass swan-neck handles, all raised on tapering square legs with fine string inlay and spade feet. To the rear of the table is a fitted stationery superstructure with shaped gallery back, crossbanded lid and internal divisions.

Compact in scale yet the raised leaves create a generous working surface, while the fitted stationery compartment and lower drawer provide ample storage. Equally at home in a bedroom or living space as it is a study.

Very good antique condition with only some light surface wear consistent with age. Inset faux leather is later. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place.
