Description

An assured Victorian mahogany pedestal desk with a large inset leather writing surface above a long central frieze drawer, flanked by two pedestals of graduated drawers with original brass handles, all raised on plinth bases with castors.

Made for professional office use, combining a generous working space with practical storage, its modest footprint and fully finished back make it suitable for placement either centrally or against a wall within a study or library.

Very good antique condition with some attractive surface wear consistent with age. The leather is a high-quality later replacement, the handles are original. Structurally all sound, clean and ready to place.
