Description

An impressive 19th century continental dome topped sea chest, adorned with decorative acanthus metal strapwork and original decorative wrought iron handles.

Very good condition, structurally all sound with some relatively light aged wear commensurate with age and use. Features old evidence of woodworm not uncommon with trunks of this kind used at sea, all now long gone. Lock plate no longer present. A liner has been added to the internal base so it is perfectly clean and ready for use.
