Petite French Louis XV Style Bombe Commode, Chest of DrawersThis Walnut Marquetry Chest is a very rare piece, it has the classic bombe shape of a Louis XV commode but this one is smaller than usual, the chest has 3 drawers, it stands on sabre shaped legs with a bow shaped front and sides.
The commode is profusely decorated with Ormolu Mounts, the Handle mounts have goddesses’ heads in the classical style and the corner mounts are stylised vines, the top of the commode is made in marvellous green veined marble
The chest is 24” long, 14” deep and 26” high
