Description

The hand decorated gilt style shaped cabinet having a glazed front door opening to reveal a ruby plush velvet interior with three shelves, locking with the original key.

The overall order of the cabinet is superb, in original condition. There are only very minor scuffs commensurate with its vintage. There is an old paper sticker to the reverse that reads “decorazione a mano art.337 made in italy” essentially translating as hand decorated. The cabinet could be wall mounted or remain free standing.

This is rather unashamedly gaudy, almost showman like and would make a befitting display cabinet for sideshow taxidermy or curiosities.
