Description

An Antique, Edwardian, 18CT Gold Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "IJTN" Isaac Jabez Theo Newsome (Watch manufacturer, The Butts, Coventry), the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the Chester town mark and date letter "f" for 1906/07.
The watch bears a presentation inscription dating from c1910.
The gold case is in good condition but there are several indents to the case side band.
The dial in very good condition.
The watch is in working order but the start/stop mechanism does not function. This is often disconnected as it was a fairly crude method of stopping the watch.
