Original Ink Drawings Edwardian Lady Sliding 1905

Photos

Description

This is a delightful small ink sketch of an Edwardian lady sliding down the bannisters of a large staircase. Though originally a sketch from an autograph book, this is an exceptionally accomplished drawing by an unknown artist called Walter Hammond.
The drawing is full of movement and is an unusual subject matter for the time as we think of the Edwardians being stuffy and fun free.
The drawing is ink onto paper and is19 cm x 15cm.

Condition.
The condition is good. There are some light surface marks to the top right with a light stain to the very top of the page. There is some light creasing mainly around the bottom of the page.
