A rare 19thC. Salt Glazed Side Vented Chimney Pot with Castellated Top.Slight manufacturing defects to base [see photo] but a very solid pot.
Many chimney pots have over the years have been discarded by roofers and thrown down as they are sometimes very heavy and dangerous to carry safely.
This pot is suitable for re-use or as a garden ornament or planter.
An impressive and unusual architectural antique.
