The Little dog with its healthy red tongue has the eyes moving round, changing the expression, as it tells the time.
Left eye denotes the hour and right eye denotes the minutes.

Most of these clocks were made by the Oswald company in the Freiburg area, in Germany’s Black Forest, from the early 1920s
