This pair of black and tan Dachshunds on their natural base were first modelled by 'Fritz Heidenreich' (1895-1966) in 1937 for the German Rosenthal company. This example is dated c1957. The base has an impressed model no. 1629 alongside the factory back stamp. 'F HEIDENREICH' is impressed on the upper surface of the base. Overall the piece is in excellent condition with no evidence of restoration or repair. It measures 8.5cm high by 17cm in length.
