Description

This interesting Edwardian silver Stamp Moistener was made by 'S. Clifford & Co. and hallmarked in London in 1909. Of cylindrical form it has a sponge and roller. They were often likened to a 'tube of paint'. It has a screw off cover with original cork inner to allow for filling. The thread on the lid is slightly worn but remains secure. Both sections are hallmarked. There is a patent Reg. No. 537868 adjacent to the roller. It is 7.6cm in length. The overall condition is good.
