Description

Lovely late 18th / early 19th century Egyptian stone Faience Shabti,c1800. Most likely a Grand Tour piece the marble base is later but the statue could be ancient. The stone has lovely signs of wear consistent with real age , the stone still has remnants of original colour and has areas of crazing and rubbing where it has been handled over hundreds of years. Overall condition is good in line with age and use . A fine addition to any collection it would display well in a modern or traditional setting.
