Description

Unusual early 20th century metal car mascot,c1920. Mounted on a later wood base the mascot is beautifully cast as a panther or Jaguar. It has fine detail to the features giving it a great expressive look. The eyes and mouth are hand painted, I am not sure if this is the original paint or it has been re-painted, if it was the latter it was done many years ago. The metal has taken on great colour/patina and the overall condition is very good in line with age and use. It is very sculptural and would work well as a standalone decorative piece.
