Description

Lovely large late 18th century Tibetan wooden container / bowl / bucket, c1780. Most likely a temple piece it oozes age and is highly decorative. The wood has aged well with great colour/patina as have the copper/metal embellishments. The decoration is very typically Tibetan with depictions of Garuda, phoenix and Buddhist motifs. Overall condition is good with minor surface wear, small losses to the metalwork and evidence of historic woodworm to the base, long dormant but treated anyway.
