Description

Interesting portrait of Sir Winston Churchill,c1960. It looks to be an oil on canvas and in its original frame. I purchased it from someone whose Grandmother had worked for Sir Winston and by repute it was a self portrait which he wasn't happy with so gifted it to the lady who then framed it. I was told this was sometime in the late 1950s-early 1960s. Unfortunately it isn't signed and there is no paperwork to support this, but an interesting piece of art. Overall condition is good with minor surface wear to the frame and an area of staining on the back which is not visible on the painting itself.
