WW1 Aircraft Propeller Jaeger LeCoultre Clock,1917

Description
Stunning quality WW1 Aircraft propeller hub clock,1917. I have had several of these over the 30 years I have been collecting antiques and this is by far the best example. The propeller is clearly marked B&C (Bristol and Colonial Aeroplane Co Ltd) and the serial number 6630 dates it to 1917, which is confirmed by the material and number of bolt holes. The P3 denotes the drawing number and would refer to either a Bristol Scout or BE2. This is an early propeller the RAF wasn't formed until April 1918 so it predates this.
The clock oozes quality and is itself a rare piece, being a Jaeger LeCoultre car clock dating to the 1920's. Fitted to top performance cars such as Bugatti and Delage as they were made from aluminium to reduce weight they were at the forefront of technology so were used in early aircraft. It is a 4 day clock, in excellent working order and keeps great time having been recently serviced.
Overall condition is good , exactly as you would expect from a piece of this age. The wood has taken on great colour/patina following years of handling and use. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
