Description

Stylish early 20th century oak cased wall mounted telephone, c1910. I am not a telephone expert and cannot see any obvious markers marks, but from research it looks to be an 'American Electric Telephone'. It has an integral writing slope, brass bells and brass mounted hand held ear and mouth piece. At some point in its life the internal workings have been removed and various alterations made to convert it for modern use. I am guessing this happened around the 1970s/80s from the technology. It looks great and would be a real statement piece mounted on a wall and could no doubt be rewired again for modern use.
