Description

Stunning large mid 20th Century African bronze mask from the Tikka tribal area, Cameroon, c1950. This is a very impressive piece with lovely rich patina and decoration.

The mask is topped by two statue finials one showing a figure carrying a spear and the other playing a musical instrument. It is nicely cast in the traditional lost wax method and heavy (3kg).

It is in good original condition with only minor surface wear/rubbing and the usual casting holes etc you get with African bronzes. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions.
