Description

Large antique 19th Century Chinese bronze figural censer/incense burner, c 1880. Modelled as a Temple Lion/Fo Dog it is well cast and heavy for its size (1.5 kg). The detail and decoration are fine, and it has great stylised form. Colour/patina is good following many years of use. Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear / rubbing. There is a small hole drilled into one foot, presumably where it was fixed to something at some point. All minor and very much as you would expect from a piece of this age.
